Thermal Inspection

Thermal imaging among drones is relatively a new field. This has opened up new avenues for business to help streamline their inspection and maintenance process. Faults such as powerline insulator failures, solar panel overheating, broken down hvac units, cracks in concrete, and to check rooftop insulating properties.

Thermography Certified

Thermal imaging is our bread and butter! All members of the team are certified aerial thermographers. We have the experience and passion to find all sorts of thermal anomalies.

Capable of creating everything from detailed spot reports all the way to thermal mapping and beyond! We can utilize a variety of software for you to view your imagery however is needed. A lot of the software won’t cost you anything for viewing imagery.

Applications for Aerial Thermography

Locating live stock and wildlife with thermal cameras has made tracking, tagging, and rescuing live stock or wildlife easier than ever before! Deer can be found within crops and removed off land just before harvesting saving you equipment and money in the process.

Search and rescue has never been easier. What may have taken a ground team 8 hours or more can now take only minutes! Thermal cameras from above provide quick identification of a lost person day or night. This is crucial since seconds can make all the difference for survival.

Aerial thermography for infrastructure has a wide array of uses. Some of the uses are as follows:

  1. Checking roofing for leaks of moisture, cracking, and poor insulation.

  2. Checking structural integrity since things like concrete will rub and thus generate heat energy if cracking.

  3. Viewing electrical and inspection of HVAC units. Anything electrical generates a ton of heat energy that can be viewed on infrared cameras.

There are so many uses for thermal imaging. Since this is a new theatre for lightweight portable drones, a lot of applications for thermal imaging haven’t even been discovered yet. If you have your own needs that aren’t mentioned, give us a call or email and we can work something out!
